After I baked these pretty delicious strawberry cupcakes last weekend, I had some strawberries left from the three boxes which I had stocked last time. I had to something pretty soon with them, lest they start losing their freshness. I love strawberry milk shake and I love having it in breakfast sometimes. Some hot pancakes and strawberry milkshake is perfect treat combo for me. I knew I had already had my share of treat this week by baking the cupcakes. And I was resisting hard to not go for another treat. Although I have sweet tooth and specially in winters, I just love have anything sweet in breakfast. But I still resisted the temptation to have the milkshake and I made this rather healthier and equally delicious pomegranate strawberry smoothie. It was lighter and healthier without lacking any flavors. In fact it had a punch of fruit flavors and nutty ness of tahini paste. For the base, I added some fresh plain yogurt. You could easily substitute it with either coconut milk, soy milk or even plain coconut water. It’s perfect fuel to kick start your day. Have it in breakfast or as a snack between the meals, it’s power packed to get you going.
